Norwoods Special Events season kicks off this Friday 🍷

🎉 We will be celebrating 80 years in September with $8 specials all week long & a special treehouse party!
🦐 Our All-You-Can-Eat Shrimp special is also returning in the month of September!
🎣 Coastal Catch month will be happening the entire month of October and we are happy to be one of many wonderful participating restaurants in the NSB area.
🎄 Norwoods annual wine dinner returns in December with its iconic holiday decor, wine vendors and specially curated cuisine.

Earl Norwood bought the building in 1946. Before that it had been a Pan Am gas station and general store, a mosquito control center, and a piggy bank factory. He turned it into a seafood restaurant, and after a few changes of hands, Don and Pamela Simmons have run the place since 1985.

It's really three spots now. The 1946 Restaurant does local seafood, hand-cut aged steaks, and scratch cooking. The Treehouse Bar went up in 2015, perched in the branches of an old oak, with live music daily and a 21-and-over rule. Roots Bar opened underneath in 2019 and welcomes all ages. Happy hour runs Monday through Friday, 4 to 6.
