Back in April, we hinted that we had something big in the works...

I bet you didn't see THIS coming. 👀🇺🇸

After months of planning, hard work, and chasing a dream, I'm excited to officially share that 1775 Brewing Company is headed to Oskaloosa!

This is more than just buying a bar—it's the next major step toward the long-term vision we've been working toward for years. **1775's Oskaloosa Outpost** will serve as a stepping stone toward our ultimate goal of building a full military-themed bar, restaurant, and brewery.

By starting with the Outpost, we'll have the opportunity to grow the brand, refine our concepts, build a loyal customer base, and continue working toward the larger vision one step at a time.

The work is already underway, the transformation has begun, and we're hoping to open around July 4th after spending the next month cleaning, remodeling, and putting our own stamp on the place.

This journey has had its twists and turns, but we're more excited than ever about what's ahead.

The Outpost is just the beginning.

🇺🇸 FIRST OF MANY IMPROVEMENTS COMPLETE! 🇺🇸

The transformation of **1775's Oskaloosa Outpost** is officially underway, and all I can say is... WOW.

What was once just a vision is quickly becoming reality. The first of many improvements has been completed, and the difference is incredible. Every step forward brings us one step closer to opening the doors and creating something special for Oskaloosa.

A huge thank you to **S and V Properties** for the hard work, dedication, and attention to detail. Their efforts are helping breathe new life into this project, and the results speak for themselves.

We're still hard at work cleaning, improving, and putting our own stamp on the Outpost, but I couldn't be more excited about the progress so far.

Stay tuned—there's a lot more to come, and I can't wait to share it with all of you.

🇺🇸 BIG NEWS! 🇺🇸

After a lot of planning, hard work, and patience, I'm excited to announce that I have officially purchased a bar in Oskaloosa, Iowa!

Many of you have followed my journey as I worked toward opening a bar and restaurant in New Sharon. While that was the original plan, an opportunity came along that made too much sense to pass up. Instead of starting completely from scratch, 1775 Brewing Company will now begin its next chapter in Oskaloosa as:

🪖 1775's Oskaloosa Outpost

Over the next month we'll be hard at work cleaning, painting, making improvements, and putting our own touch on the establishment. Our goal is to be open by July 4th, and we couldn't think of a more fitting day to launch a military-themed bar.

🍺 The Outpost will initially open as a bar while we focus on getting operations running smoothly.

🍔 Once we're established and everything is running the way we want it to, the plan is to add a small kitchen featuring many of the food concepts we've been developing over the last couple of years.

I want to sincerely thank everyone who has supported, encouraged, and believed in this dream. Whether you've followed the business plans, shared ideas, helped move equipment, or simply cheered me on, you've played a part in helping make this happen.

The work is just beginning, but I'm excited to finally be taking this next step.

Made some delicious pretzel crusted maple Dijon pork chops topped with a brown sugar dijonnaise paired with roasted Brussel sprouts and sweet potato fries today.

Hope to get open soon so I can start sharing all these creations with all of you!

It's been a pleasure getting back into the test kitchen and exploring some innovative recipes. Last night, I assembled a delightful pairing of sweet and savory BBQ brisket topped with crispy fried onion, accompanied by cheesy bacon mashed potatoes and broccoli.

Embarking on a culinary adventure tonight with Gordon Ramsay's crispy sesame shrimp recipe! The aroma filling my kitchen is absolutely divine, promising a truly delicious experience. I'm especially excited about the vibrant yuzu slaw, adding a zesty contrast to the savory shrimp. This dish is a delightful exploration of textures and flavors, proving that a little culinary inspiration can go a long way. I can already tell this will become a new favorite! Highly recommend trying this masterpiece yourself.
