🤍🤍Today, we remember and honor a very special customer, friend, and member of our Next Door Café family who recently passed away. For 15 years, he walked through our doors and became so much more than a customer. He became family. He grew up in Somerset and New Richmond, was married for an incredible 67 years, and loved his family deeply. His family has also continued to support our family-owned business throughout the years, making our connection with them even more special. He loved his Corvettes, loved telling stories, and had a way of making everyone around him smile. Every time he walked through our doors, he lit up the café. His presence brought a warmth and familiarity that will be impossible to replace. After church on Sundays, he and his family had their designated table or booth waiting for them. Seeing them walk through the door became a part of our Sundays — a tradition and a memory that we will always cherish. There are some people who walk into your business as customers and, over the years, become part of the heart and soul of it. He was one of those people. He wasn't simply someone we served; he was someone we were honored to know. We will miss his stories, his laughter, his personality, and most of all, simply seeing him walk through our doors. The café will feel a little different without him sitting in his spot, but the memories he left behind will always have a place here.🤍🤍
We are incredibly grateful for the 15 years we had the honor of knowing him and for every conversation, every Sunday, every story, and every memory.
Our deepest prayers and condolences go out to his family and everyone who loved him. We pray that the memories of his long and beautiful life, his 67 years of marriage, and the love he had for his family bring comfort during this difficult time.
