Our first batch of boiler chickens are officially set to arrive in August! We can’t wait to add another direct farm to table option for the community! They will be pasture and supplemental organic feed, raised with no antibiotics, no injections and nothing added to make them grow faster. They are a heritage breed red ranger more to come on that! Sunflowers are loving this heat and are growing rapidly! Sweet Corn is dropping pollen on the silks and will shortly begin the process of making kernels! Farm-stand will be put in place next week and we hope to start stocking it soon! It’ll be up thru the end of October with peak produce around the mid to late August to early September timeframe. 500 gallons of saved up rain water was pumped on the thirsty garden yesterday! We are starting to see see signs harvest season is right around the corner! From cut sunflowers, to sweet corn, to our first cucumbers we are going to have a wonderful year for 2026 with a little bit of everything and new things on the farm.! We can’t wait to see or hear from you soon!

Farmstand is going to be out in the next two weeks! Couple quick updates. Unfortunately with the vine borer we won’t have zucchini this year, we will have limited green beans as well. We replanted 4 times but due to weather conditions out of our control they really struggled. We will have lots of sweet corn though! Potatoes are coming along great. Tomatoes look great. Pumpkins and squash are exploding with growth. We have baby cucumbers coming along. Onions and bell peppers are coming along. We did lose two jalapeños plants so we’re waiting to see how the other two do! So while some stuff is limited in quantity we will have an abundance of other produce. Before we place our order for Red Ranger boilers! We wanted to reach out to gauge interest in the community to determine the right amount of boilers to raise. They will be ready for freezer camp around Mid October. The boys will then raise another batch this spring! Rough $ is around $20-25 a bird with a dressed weight of 4-6lbs average. COMMENT BELOW with how many you be interested in! We will be placing the order this Friday with the hatchery.

Sweet Corn is coming right along in the heat! It’ll be ready for a drink soon. We can’t wait to kick off the produce this year! We worked on signage yesterday! Farm-stand has been looked at for repairs from two wind storms, sunflowers are growing tall! More to come from the farm! Still have a few spots open for farm fresh eggs! First batch of meat chicks will be arriving at the farm in a couple weeks! Proud to serve our community and bring healthy direct farm to table to you!

Farmstand signage and Farm stand repairs are going to start this week! In the shade of course! We hope everyone stays cool! The garden is coming along. We have been fighting the dreaded squash bug 🐛! We are in Marshalltown delivering eggs this week! 100% pasture free range eggs. We have several quarts of red raspberries washed and stuck in the freezer to keep fresh! $10 a quart they are naturally raised with no fertilizer or spray! We also have washed and unwashed eggs 100% on pasture right now. Thanks for your continued support! Farm-stand and signs will be coming soon!
