I don’t know about you but I finally feel like I can use this cup and mean it.

The weather last night was gorgeous, and I swear it had just a hint of autumn air. Like, I feel like Amy air just smells a little different.

Regardless, I enjoyed my Fall Harvest tea (yea, it’s herbal so I can drink it at night and it doesn’t keep me awake!) in my Hello Fall mug and all is right with the world.

Thank you Mmmm Delicious Cupcakes for the refill of our case! We’ve got lots of delicious flavors availed this weekend.

In addition to cupcake, we have macaroon pops by Macarooz, artisan chocolate by William Dean Chocolates, macarons, and chocolate covered Oreos, pretzels, and Rice Krispies by MMMM Delicious cupcakes.

Many people ask me how I came up with the name for our tearoom.

It’s not what you think, I’m sure. I have always loved the majestic white heron, but truth be told, I’m not really a fan of birds in general.

Two times in my life I have literally been hit by a bird. No joke! Once I was biking Cades Cove in Tennessee, and I was walking my bike up a really steep hill, and a bird literally few and hit me in the chest.

Now, I don’t think it was on purpose. I don’t think the bird looked at me from his tree branch above me and said, “let’s dive bomb her.” Still, that’s only one unfortunate incident of me with a bird.

And still, I chose to name my tearoom after a bird.

If you don’t know the story behind naming my tearoom, you can find out about it soon, in my new book about my tearoom, “Steeping a Dream” set to be released in October.

Until then, here’s a lovely photo that I took of the bird that is our namesake.

Yeah! It’s officially Fall.

Though in Florida that doesn’t mean much. We may trade our beach balls for pumpkins, but we still have time before we see cooler weather.

Still, I like turn the thermostat down, put on a cozy sweater, grab my favorite “fall” mug, and enjoy a toasty warm cup of tea, and pretend the temperatures outside have dropped.

In fact, that’s exactly what I’m going to do today.

How about you? Whether you’re up north seeing the seasons change, or here in blistering hot Florida, what’s one thing you do to usher in this next season?

In addition to being World Gratitude Day, it’s also National Chai Day (thank you Visit New Port Richey, for the reminder!).

In honor of this day, this afternoon I am enjoying our house made blend, our Gypsy Pearl White Chai.

This blend was designed by our amazing tea hostess, Dawne, after she tried a white chai on vacation several years ago.

The lightness of white tea with our perfectly balanced spice mix, makes this one of our most popular teas by Driftwood Tea Company.

If you haven’t tried this tea yet, you must put it on your list for your next visit. There’s a reason why we say Gypsy Pearl White Chai is “as smooth as a strand of pearls, and as spicy as the women who wear them.”
