DOWNTOWN DINE OUT!

We are so excited to participate in our first “Downtown Dine Out” with New Port Richey Main Street, Inc., starting this Sunday (August 16th) through Friday (August 21st) for us.

As a way to showcase our afternoon tea service, we have adopted a lighter version of this local favorite, and we are calling it our Parlour Tea.

It’s been a busy week and it’s only Thursday.

Yesterday morning we welcomed a group of women for our “tea experience” that they won as a part of a raffle at an event.

We love that we can offer this opportunity to help raise money at events, and that it allows us to share about our love of tea too.

On a personal note, I love that I can share this time with our guests and they learn to love tea too. ❤️🫖

Yesterday we had the honor of spending the afternoon with the ladies and gentlemen at Esplanade at Wiregrass Ranch.

We represented England, and they traditional afternoon tea service. The cucumber tea sandwiches were a hit and I think the guests enjoyed our Lavender Vanilla White Tea and the traditional Earl Grey tea.

Thank you, Monique, for having us over to Wesley Chapel. We can’t wait to see the guests for tea at our tearoom. 🫖

It’s Saturday, and we may have some good news!

After a small hiatus (due to equipment failure) these beauties will be returning to our gift shop in the coming week.

We are so excited that we could just squeal!

In the meantime, thank you to our friends at Mmmm Delicious Cupcakes for making the best cupcakes for our case.

And since we don’t have any today, stop by and see them at their shop. They are open from 11 am to 4 pm (Saturday).

I am so excited that I had the opportunity to visit our friends around the corner at Curtain Call Coffee Bar, and share about the best way to make our tea for their guests.

Lucky for us, their baristas are tea lovers so I didn’t have to teach, and we really just enjoyed visiting while we made a sample of tea to make sure we had the brewing down perfectly.

We love that locals and visitors will be able to enjoy our award-winning tea at their cafe.

They have several of our teas to start. The one we are most excited about is our “Curtain Call” rooibos, which will be offered there as a caffeine free option.

Originally named to highlight our downtown’s historic theatre, having this tea as their house blend at Curtain Call Coffee Bar allows guest to enjoy this special blend that is only available in commemorative tins at our tea shop.

If you’re looking for a delightful spot in downtown to grab a cuppa to go, and you can’t make it into our shop, know that you can get our delicious tea at Curtain Call.

We can’t wait to explore more teas and unique drinks with them!

Last week our team went through the dozens of samples that we had gotten in to try for potential new teas for our tea brand (we get tons of tea to sample).

A few years ago we decided to host a “sample sale” with these teas and now that our collection has grown again, it’s time for another sale. Keep an eye out in the coming weeks for our announcement!

But, in addition to sorting through lots of unique tea blends, during our search, we also came across this tea brick.

Tea bricks are traditionally made with black or puerh tea (so this green one is unusual).

Tea bricks have their place in history, as they were often used as forms of currency in ancient Asia. It also made the tea easier for traveling.
