Woodford Reserve with a house-made blueberry sage and white balsamic shrub. A fine excuse to enjoy one of those Derby bottles while we’ve got it.

And from the kitchen, a proper steak.

A 14oz Copper Creek NY strip. Black Angus, grass fed, hand selected from a family-owned cattle company. Simply grilled with salt and pepper, served with five cheese mashed potatoes and asparagus, then finished with a rosemary and cabernet demi-glace.

Finally… porch weather again.

A peaceful pint of Guinness overlooking our lovely grove of locust trees is just what the doctor ordered.

Pairs nicely with a from-scratch meal and maybe a piece of banoffee pie to top it all off.

Garvans Southern Swing, what a way to end this amazing odyssey! Leaving Galway and heading to the beautiful Dromoland Castle, via Bunratty for our final night, where we were all certainly treated like Royalty. What an amazing group again, all heading back to NY today as great friends, and how lucky are we to be going back to the Hudson Valley, one of the most beautiful places on Earth!

Garvans Southern Swing, Galway frolics! 3 nights in the beautiful Hardiman Hotel on Eyre Square. The weather cooled a bit but nothing to stop us having the best of times in the City of The Tribes! Lovely trip out to the ancient Aran Islands, Europe’s most Westerly Community (next stop Boston!), and just a great time here in our favorite City. Great artsy vibes here, pedestrian streets, buskers, dancers, chancers, magicians, amazing food and the best of craic, oh and the Show Trad on the Prom, just wow!

Garvans Southern Swing, and what a beautiful day! Leaving Killarney, Ferry ride across the Shannon estuary to the Banner County, Clare. Perfect day to see the Cliffs of Moher, wanderings around the almost Lunar landscape of the Burren and into the ‘coolest City on Earth’ Galway, our home for the next 3 nights, great times with a lovely group of people, blessed!

Garvans Southern Swing, Kerry. Second day in Leonie’s favorite Hotel, we went touring through ‘The Kingdom’ of Kerry, Di**le, Slea Head, Anascaul and so much more, topped off by another incredible dinner, this time the Great Southern Hotel, loving it all!
