It is with a heavy heart that we announce that Homegrown Pizza is permanently closing. We made it through Hurricane Zeta and ever-changing COVID protocols, but now Hurricane Ida has taken our business away for good. The roof to our building was compromised and caused damage that is going to take months to repair. Homegrown Pizza was our only source of income and we cannot go any longer waiting to do business again. We put so much blood, sweat, and tears into this passion project and we did not come to this decision lightly. We want to thank all our regulars for providing us the joy and support to allow us to have survived as long as we did. We will miss all our coworkers that have become like family to us. We will miss seeing our daughters doing their homework in the restaurant, growing up in our family business. Although our doors are now closed, we hope to see our Homegrown family and friends around the city and still be able to talk about good beer, good food, and good times.
