โ๏ธ The Holy Ground Irish Pub โ๏ธ was our first home after our initial test run at The OBC
We'd visited kitchens all over the place, mostly Midcity, looking for a somewhere with a little space and a few free hours in the morning. THG hadn't been open for too long before we'd become familiar and started poking about their vacant kitchen.
We split the rent & worked alongside a chef who started the bar kitchen in the evenings. The hours were brutal, and that was a teeny space to do all of our baking in.
๐ We loved it ๐
We drank coffee at the bar with Stevie in the mornings while we waited for the phone to ring โ๏ธ John was a brand new bar back, now he's been running the place for several years & is a part owner.
๐ Years later, after we'd moved down the street to our Banks St home, we were invited back to open the bar kitchen in the evenings. We ran Mother Mary's for 7 years, until Covid changed the landscape.
๐ซถ Your small business was a huge stepping stone for ours. Thank you for putting the faith of The Holy Ground's early days behind us ๐ซถ
July 15th will be our last day of hangover curin' for the Banks St location. Please come by so we can share well-wishes, or visit us in the French Quarter any time!
