We are saddened by the passing of our beloved brother Angelo Brocato III at 85 years old.
Angelo was the face of Brocato’s at the Jazz Festival for almost 40 years.
He was on wholesale delivery to our valued longtime customers and behind the retail counter on some days.
He was an avid storyteller of his younger days growing up in the French Quarter, days at St. Louis Cathedral School, the Glory Days playing football at Redemptorist High School in the Irish Channel and the Championship Team under Coach Joe Galliano. Let’s not forget his days in the Air Force stationed in Seville Spain and his first visit to Sicily and Cefalu’ , our grandparent’s hometown.
He will be missed by many friends,
patrons, his wife Lavenia of 60 years, 3 children,6 grandchildren ,2 great grandchildren,cousins and extended family.
Our employees, former, current and longtime feel the void from his loss.
The loss so deeply felt by Angelo’s
surviving brothers Arthur and Salvatore as well as sister in law Jolie all who have worked side by side for the past 53 years.
The outreach of prayers and support for our family from friends and the community has touched our hearts.
Thank you all from the bottom of our hearts.
