This is happening and it’s a great deal. Much love for and their support of us locals here at the historic St. Roch. Lots of folks rightly point out that Suberb Owl corporate stuff is at the expense of the locals but I can attest that this was a great and productive partnership.

Special Taceaux for Jazzfest
AIEE!!!
Our legendary bayou Taceaux featured in the New York Times.
Locally sourced alligator sausage (as if you can even get it elsewhere, maybe Florida) charra beans, chipotle and jalapeño. This one is spicy, like local crawfish boil spicy.

Taco Truck Favorite Taceaux Loceaux Opens Uptown Restaurant

“Taceaux Loceaux, a longtime taco truck fixture at Uptown bars that appeared on Anthony Bourdain’s The Layover in 2013, opened as a restaurant over the weekend, at 737 Octavia Street.

Owners Alex and Maribeth del Castillo first announced their intentions to bring their signature tacos to a restaurant in 2016; after various locations fell through, they resumed plans after signing the Uptown lease earlier this year. The address most recently housed a short-lived outpost of fast-casual Byblos Mediterranean restaurant, which opened in the summer of 2018 after a five-month renovation of what was the Flaming Torch restaurant (destroyed by a fire).

The menu of inventive tacos the truck is known for featuring proteins like BBQ pork, brisket, and Korean-style chicken, has been expanded to include vegan and vegetarian-friendly stars like braised greens, potato and poblano, cauliflower, and even “fauxrizo,” or a meatless chorizo substitute. The bigger menu, below, also offers quesadillas, the famous avocado fries, tot nachos, salads, and a full bar.”
