It is with a heavy heart that we are announcing the upcoming closure of Poke-Chan. The final date is set for July 11, 2025. We would like to take this time to thank everyone that has supported us in the past 7.5 years. We owe it to our loyal customers to explain the reason behind the closure. We decided to close the restaurant for a combination of reasons. Business hasn’t been quite the same after COVID and operating expenses have risen significantly. We’ve absorbed the bulk of the inflation, because we wanted to remain affordable to everyone suffering from it as well. Because we are committed to serving the same quality ingredients and flavors we always have, the high operating costs have caused financial strain over time and caused us to burn out. On a happier note, we do have new passions to pursue and are so appreciative for the years spent serving you all. We have said this many times before, but the best part of the last 7.5 years was meeting you all. You guys are not only customers to us but dear friends. You are what we will miss most about Poke-chan. We look forward to seeing you all again.

We will be closed today, Friday, March 14th, to celebrate the life of an extraordinary man, Michael Travis Windsay Sr.

We first met him as a customer, but over the years he has become a close friend, life mentor and most importantly, our family. He’s undoubtedly one of the greatest and most hardworking people we’ve ever met. He always had a positive energy and joyful smile, offering his sage advice on many aspects of life and words of encouragement.

Our souls ache, and our hearts may never heal from this loss. And it is a great loss. Not only for his family and friends, but also the whole city in which he selflessly served 30 years for with the fire department.

His legacy lives on in our hearts. And in his sons, our friends, Caleb and Mike, who are testaments to the incredible and righteous man that he was.

We love you Mike. We miss you. We are so thankful and blessed to have known you. Let’s try finally hotpot together when we meet again.

Thankfully we lucked out and didn’t lose power! Hope everyone whose power is still out is staying cool and entertained somehow. 🫤

In the meantime, we are open today from noon until 8pm. We have AC and good food 😬😄.
