Hunter knows 2 things: how to Sit and how to eat treats.

It's hard to outshine Dan Stein (aka Deli Dan), but Hunter made it look easy. Dan may be the owner of Stein's Market and Deli in New Orleans and was featured on Season 7 of Q***r Eye, but can he inhale treats as fast as Hunter? I don't think so. If you are looking for a big and strong dog, do not adopt Hunter. Hunter is actually a really a big softy with a whole lot of love to give.

Chanukah starts this SUNDAY night. Every year we get requests to supply latkes for Chanukah. Until last year we told these customers ... “no way.” Last year Chef Dan Esses agreed to supply the Deli with latkes to sell. It went fairly well so we are going to do it again …. for one night …. Sunday night. Pick up will be Sunday afternoon. Not sure what time. Please pay attention … here are the directions/rules: 1. Please call or text your order to 6103483154. That’s my cell. The Deli is busy now. The Deli is closed Thursday and Friday. Stay off the Deli phones. Please do not bother my people. 2. Make sure you get a confirmation that I have your order. 3. Cut off for orders is Friday night at 11:59pm. Please do not try to place an order after that time. 4. First come first serve. 5. Latkes or $2/each. 6 for $12. Etc. 🕎

Meet Hendrik, our new recycling person. Because of Hendrik, we now recycle glass again (along with aluminum cans, cardboard, and some plastic). Neighbors and good customers should feel free to bring reasonable amounts of glass to the Deli to recycle (like the old days). If you own a business or know a business that wishes to recycle, please reach out to me, and I will forward Hendrik’s contact information. He is looking for more customers.
