Welcoming back to our Summer Participants!

Every summer, Reconcile invites participants for summer training who are between school years and looking for career exploration opportunities. Help us welcome them back, they’re starting to think about life after Reconcile as they continue their journey.

For 25 years, every day at Reconcile has started the same way.

Before the Café opens, interns and staff gather in Morning Circle to share praise reports, prayer requests, and affirmations that help set intention for the day ahead. Then they move into Word of the Day, a shared meal and community conversation centered around one word.

For many Interns, this is where confidence begins to grow. It’s where they see themselves not just as participants, but as professionals and contributors.

At Reconcile, workforce development is about more than preparing for a job. It is about creating environments where young people can thrive.

Mental health wellness is part of workforce readiness at Reconcile.

Through our partnership with , counselors and community mental health navigators are onsite each week at Reconcile, creating opportunities for Interns to access emotional support, trauma counseling, and wellness resources in a trusted environment.

For many young people, Ms. Joy has become a steady and caring presence in that journey.

By building relationships, creating safe spaces for conversation, and meeting young people where they are, she helps ensure Interns are supported not only as emerging professionals, but as whole people navigating complex life experiences. 🫶

To everyone who donated, shared our posts, showed up yesterday, and told someone about Café Reconcile, thank you for making GiveNOLA Day a success!

We raised $37,920 from 165 generous donors. Those funds will go directly to supporting 50 young people who will be stepping into Reconcile this summer.
