Christmas Vibes at Rising Sun

I was never much of a Christmas person until the past few years, now that I've finally found a way in, an access point that really made everything click for me: Christmas is about vibes. Or, okay, wait, I don't wanna get into the business of making claims as to what Christmas is about and then you're mad at Rising Sun because I don't think it's about what you think it's about and it's all my fault and I ruined Christmas, again.

For me, and maybe for you too...Christmas is all about vibes. It's cozy. It's warm. It's festive. Sometimes you don't have to go to work. There's food everywhere. It's an invitation to be kinder and more compassionate. There are lots of parties and everyone's in a good mood.

At Rising Sun, we know vibes. Vibes is what we do. From the inventive cocktail selection to the state-of-the-art sound system to the cozy courtyard heaters, your experience at Rising Sun has been meticulously crafted to send you to vibe heaven.

So grab a dear friend, or five, and make Rising Sun part of your holiday plans this week. Share a few plates and sample our delicious cocktail menu - I'm partial to the Golden Touch and the Lower Garden G&T, if you need a rec! Rising Sun is also the perfect place to take Mom, Dad, grandparents, whoever's in your house this week, for some laid back holiday cheer.

Tomorrow night, Wednesday the 20th, we're showing How the Grinch Stole Christmas in the courtyard at 7 pm. It's a FREE event, and we'll be mixing up some Grunch Punch as our featured cocktail (it's green, it's a whole thing, you'll see).

If you need a little help getting into the spirit, we've got you. Come on in and we'll take care of the rest.

Merry Christmas from the Rising Sun squad!

Julia here again. I'd like to address the rumors that I peed my pants at the Rising Sun holiday party last night. Listen to me when I say, unequivocally: they are false.

I've seen the evidence my opponents have against me and I admit it is pretty damning.

I understand that the size, position, shape and color of this spot would seem to indicate a definitive pants-peeing. But I'd like you to leave room for the possibility that perhaps I was sitting with a teacup of sauvignon blanc between my knees, and perhaps I got distracted while chatting with some of my gorgeous, captivating colleagues, and perhaps that caused the cup to spill on me in an unbecoming spot.

The rest of the party was a blur of amazing food, Dirty Santa, talking over each other and arguing incessantly over the rules of Dirty Santa - you know, just like a real family.
