Tae’s Café is a proudly Black-owned business founded in 2025 by Shannon T. in the heart of the Lower 9th Ward. Born from a deep love for community and cuisine, Tae’s was created to serve delicious, soul-warming meals—morning, noon, and night.
The name Tae honors Shannon’s beloved son, Taeshawn, whose spirit continues to inspire the warmth and purpose behind every dish. Since his passing in 2022, this café stands as a tribute to his memory and a beacon of love, resilience, and good food.
