To all of our valued customers...
This is the post no one ever looks forward to writing. Unfortunately, due to the decline of business and the volatile ups and downs, I regretfully have decided that when we close on tomorrow that it will be for good.
On a personal level, whether it was selling my homemade tamales in the past, or beginning this food trailer venture, from the very beginning of the Nanny Wanda’s brand it’s always been my mission to deliver quality food made with love to people who would enjoy it. All while honoring my late mother at the same time. I believe in my heart we have accomplished that. I can assure you that this isn’t the last time you will see the Nanny Wanda’s brand. Whether it comes in the form of tamales, diner style burgers and hot dogs, or specialty blended seasonings, we will at some point be back!
Being a restaurant owner has always been a dream of mine. From a young child I always loved the feeling it gave me to put love into a dish and watch it bring joy to people who I’ve served. The one thing I definitely adore more than my dreams is my family. Being an adult will always require you to place your family before your dreams. To all of the many, many amazing friends we’ve made in this short time, thank you! You kept fuel in the tank for this dream for quite some time! So many of you were loyal to us and it breaks my heart to walk away. So many people helped me from the beginning with this, I won’t try to name them all, but they know who they are! An extra special thanks to my wife for her understanding throughout this process, as well as my dad/step parents, and last but far from least two amazing, absolutely amazing women, who I will never be able to thank enough, Bliss Bonin and Ms.Sherri Bonin. You two will never know how appreciative I am of you! Y’all are awesome!
I am returning to the workforce, but have immediate plans of trying to market my burger and chili seasonings to local grocery stores. Please be on the lookout for the Nanny Wanda’s label! Once again, thank you all so very much! See you at 10:30am tomorrow for one last ride!
