Every year for 20 years, actor Robert Gerenser has spent Christmas Day as Gen. George Washington, helping to re-enact the stressful day in 1776 when Washington and the Continental Army crossed the Delaware.

Happy Birthday Bob! You would have been 69 today!! You get to be with Molly again.... she's been a good and loyal dog since you've been gone and helped to fill that void... and now you get to play ball with her and share your snacks, watching our "channel" along the banks of the Delaware. Miss both of you so incredibly much ❤ 😥

Judy Gerenser Williamson, sister to
Bob Gerenser, unexpectdly passed away on March 25, 2021. As a child, Judy worked alongside her family at The Village Snack Shack, later to bloom into Gerenser's Exotic Ice Cream, a New Hope Icon for 70 years. She was a champion of all that was good, boundless energy and determination and a wonderful spirit that will be greatly missed. A small mass is being held in her honor. The one and only Original family owned ice cream store at 22 South Main Street, New Hope PA. 65 years of amazing, unique and original flavors! Opened in 1951 until 2015 when the legendary owner, Robert V. Gerenser passed away.
