The Havenly Fellowship is growing! 👩‍🏫

For 6 years, we’ve trained 134 immigrant and refugee women, supporting them to launch businesses, secure dignified jobs, and lead with confidence.

This year, we want to welcome 15 new women into our sisterhood as they pursue their dream careers in healthcare, cosmetology, and the culinary arts.

It’s the “Double Bind” that keeps refugee and immigrant mothers from their dreams:
❌ You can’t get a job without childcare.
❌ You can’t get childcare without a job.

At Havenly, we are working to break this cycle for good. We are on our way to becoming one of only 20 state-approved Childcare Incubators in Connecticut! This groundbreaking model will allow our members to launch their own licensed childcare businesses right in our neighborhood.

The Big News: We’ve officially secured our future location at Elm City Montessori! 🏫

Now, the real work begins. We are preparing to transform this space into a culturally grounded hub for 36 children, but we need the community to help us get across the finish line.

In Greater New Haven, refugee and immigrant women are the backbone of our local economy. They work, save, and build—yet the traditional banking system often treats them as "invisible."

Because of ITIN status or a lack of formal credit history, many of our members are locked out of the loans and capital they need to grow businesses or secure housing.

But Havenly women aren't waiting for permission to build wealth. They are doing it together. 🤝

Through Savings Circles (known as susus, tandas, or sunduqs), our members have always saved and loaned to one another based on trust. Now, we’re making that trust "official."

This , help us bridge the gap. 🚀

We are partnering with Giving Credit to transform these community circles into powerful credit-building tools. By using their platform, our members can:

✅ Build Credit Scores: Report their consistent community payments to credit bureaus.

✅ Leverage Social Trust: Use their history of reliability to unlock formal financial products.

✅ Access Capital: Grow a community-owned loan fund for business equipment, cars, or legal counsel.
