This is a tough post to write, but we are entering the last couple days of the season, and sadly, the end of an era. I have been a part of this journey since I was 14 years old when my uncle took over in 1986, worked through college, and there was never a year that he didn't call on me to help him out in the beginning or end of the season. Most people remembered him, he was the big guy behind the window. He passed away in july of 2004, and i knew immediately that I needed to take over, so that is what I did. It has been a wonderful journey for the last 22 seasons of running it. I have met so many wonderful people along the way, customers, and employees. I've watched kids who have come here with parents, then with friends as they grew, and then with their own children. and for me, watching my own kids go through the same experiences as I did by working there just like I did when I was a teenager, and even hiring past employees, and co-workers kids. But now the tides are turning. next year there will be a new owner, with new ideas, and more importantly, new energy to give to the place. I look forward to what changes he makes to the place and what the future holds for it. But for now, I would like to personally thank everyone who has made it all possible throughout the years. This has been a huge part of my life that is going to be gone, and I will miss it. So i'm officially signing off of here. Thank you for the memories.
