We want to clear the air on charging for water…🤦🏼‍♀️$1.00 water

Yes, the post was sent to us. Yes, we seen the comments. It’s ok! Maybe some insight will help!

The Main Cafe does NOT serve “just tap water.” We actually have a REVERSE OSMOSIS water system. It requires maintenance, salt etc. The salt nor maintenance is free.

There was an error made… We deeply apologize for the $1.00 error. We would have happily returned that $1.00 had we been made aware there was an honest mistake. We charge for water if: 1. It was your only drink (did not order it with your coffee, soda or juice) or 2. You got a water To-Go.

That $1.00 helps to cover the costs associated with the Reverse Osmosis System, the straw used to drink with, the waitress who served that water, the maintenance on the ice machine, the cost of cleaning and sanitizer or the cost of To-Go cups, lid and straw. While those 100 penny’s seem to be astronomical, it helps a small business offset those costs some.

Furthermore, if you notice that someone has charged you for your drink and you ordered water with it, PLEASE let one of us know and we will gladly fix that charge and remove it. The drink charge covers the cost and water shouldn’t be added if it wasn’t your only drink. We would love the opportunity to fix things versus being slammed on social media!
