Cheese Days is underway in Monroe, and tomorrow's Swiss Colony Cheese Days Parade is another wonderful opportunity to celebrate the Swiss heritage that makes our corner of Wisconsin so special.

43 years of Eric. ❤️

Eric Mattmann started at New Glarus Bakery 43 years ago when he was just 14, washing dishes and helping wherever he could. Over the years, he learned the craft of baking and became the person behind so many of the breads, donuts, pastries, and other favorites our customers know today.

But what we love most is how much Eric still genuinely enjoys what he does. He takes tremendous pride in his work, loves working with dough by hand, and is always willing to share what he's learned with newer members of our team.

Angela recently presented Eric with a Flame Award in recognition of his incredible 43 years of service.

Some cakes are about so much more than cake. ❤️

Last weekend, this three-tier wedding cake left our bakery to become a small part of a very big day.

From the carefully piped details to every tiny buttercream rose, a lot of time and care went into creating something worthy of such a special celebration. There is something incredibly meaningful about knowing that a cake made here in our bakery will be there as two people celebrate the beginning of their life together.

After more than a century in New Glarus, we've had the privilege of making cakes for so many of life's milestones. Weddings, anniversaries, birthdays, graduations, and all the moments families gather around a table to celebrate.

We're grateful every time someone chooses New Glarus Bakery to be a small part of one of them.
