We are pumped to bring you a few new domestic wine selections (and an absolute gem from a woman winemaker in South Africa) for this lovely Wine Wednesday! Book now for tonight, 5/27, to get 1/2 off all wine bottles, and may we recommend savoring alongside raw oysters 🦪 on our patio?

These bottles of just a small handful of our expansive selection: a playful sparkling Riesling/Gewurtraminer blend from former colleague and friend of our very own Jon Nodler, Maloof (Oregon); a vibrant, racy and totally sophisticated Grenache Blanc from Wolf and Woman (Western Cape, South Africa); an unique take on an old school California Red Wine from one of our favorite producers, Arnot-Roberts (Sonoma Coast, CA); and the ultimate catnip for us, Sam & Jon, underdog Trousseau treated with little intervention at the hands of Forlorn Hope (Sierra Foothills, CA).

This Saturday, May 23 | 5:15pm | $95 per person
Join us to taste through the wines of pioneer Italian winemaker Maculan alongside a four-course dinner by Canter Inn!

Angela Maculan, a fourth-generation member of the historic Maculan winery family in Breganze, Veneto, Italy, will be at the dinner to share information about the wines. As Sales Director and Export Manager, she works alongside her father, Fausto, and sister, Maria Vittoria, to manage the estate, promoting their renowned dessert wines and high-quality reds worldwide.

Fausto Maculan’s style is minimalist and Bordeaux-inspired, focused on clarity, balance, and varietal
expression, combining rich fruit with elegance, structure, and freshness.

Not too many of these Wednesdays left! Join us tonight, Wednesday, May 13 for 1/2 off Wine Bottle night. What a great way to try something extra special you wouldn't typically indulge in, or, go with an old standby and think less about the bill, and more about the person you're sharing the bottle 🍾 with.

Note: we don't keep a deep inventory of most bottles, so it's truly while supplies last!

We are pleased to introduce our new Tea Menu, sourced entirely from Teasider of Madison, WI! Over 15 years ago, when we (Jon & Sam) were young, hungry cooks in Madison, we would now and again take the time to sit with a cup of tea at the Macha Teahouse on Monroe Street, where the experience of drinking tea was just as key as the quality of leaves and integrity of the source. Fast forward to today, Anthony and Rachel Verbrick have transitioned their business to Teasider on E. Johnson St., where they’ve focused their years of tasting, learning, and building networks into creating a modern tea retail shop dedicated to high-quality teas for everyday drinking.

We are thrilled to be featured in this week's Wisconsin State Journal! Thank you to Samara Kalk Derby for a thoughtful review, and for giving New Glarus the spotlight. We appreciate the nod to even some of the small details that matter to us (soundtrack! acoustic paneling!) not to mention high marks for dishes and that lovely little Mezcal Sour.
