🇮🇹Good morning folks!

It's Sunday Sauce Day... and I am guessing that some of you already have your Sunday Sauce on!

It was another extremely busy week at Petrosino's and we wanted to thank you for visiting us!

It's been a very busy week overall and our family all had different plans for this weekend, and so we decided that today would just be a quiet day working the gardens around the farm. We planted a large number of Roma tomatoes this year and are looking forward to utilizing them for our Capresè salad. Nothing beats a fresh garden grown tomato!

We wanted to thank everyone that came out this past week to share in our passion for pizza!

Lauree thought that with summer upon us that we should absolutely craft a Bacon Lettuce and Tomato pizza as July's Specialty Pizza of the Month....and who doesn't love a good BLT anyway?!

So we made a few different ones to test and we definitely hit a great one! We'll be rolling that out next week!

Also, we are thinking about doing the Italian King Subs as a special once per month. Those subs sold out both nights and the feedback that we received was nothing less than spectacular. More than a few of our guests told us that the Italian King was the best sub that they have ever eaten, and that they never expected it to come from Wisconsin! Well, these are exactly the kind of subs that are famously popular back east and bringing them to Wisconsin was a blast!
If you missed out on them, we are thinking about making them once a month. Would you all like to see that?

Anyway, have a great rest of the weekend and please try to enjoy some time with family or friends over a meal today. We truly believe that in today's fast paced world, making the time for family, good food and conversation is exactly what we need, so make the time for it!

🇺🇸🇮🇹Hey Folks... We will be open today! Today's Featured Pizza of the Day is the "Easton Wiseguy" and for good reason!

📍Easton, Pennsylvania and America's 250th Birthday have a historical connection.

✅️Many of you have thoroughly enjoyed and made your favorite pizza the Easton Wiseguy! What you may not know is that the Easton Wiseguy has a connection to Easton, Pennsylvania, which is where co-owner Pete's family is from and where he spent most of his adult life until moving to Wisconsin 23 years ago. Pete named the pizza the "Easton Wiseguy" as a tip of the hat to his hometown.
❓️But did you know that Easton, Pennsylvania has a profound connection to the Declaration of Independence as one of only three cities in America to host the first official public readings of the document on July 8, 1776. This historic event took place at 12:00 p.m. noon, occurring simultaneously with readings in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and Trenton, New Jersey. Because half of the adult population at the time was illiterate, these public proclamations in central gathering places were essential to spreading the news of the revolution. The Historic Proclamation was read on that summer day in front of a crowd gathered in Easton's "Great Square" (now known as Centre Square).
The Speaker: Local tradition dictates that Robert Levers, the local Clerk and Chairman of the Committee of Safety, read the document aloud from the steps of the original Northampton County Courthouse.
The Atmosphere: An infantry company stood at attention while citizens listened to the radical call for self-government.

✅️The Legend of the Easton Flag According to local history, a custom, hand-sewn flag was unfurled and hoisted during this historic reading.
The Design: The "Easton Flag" features a unique design reversing the traditional elements: 13 8-pointed stars arranged in a circle on a blue field (canton) in the upper corner, with a field of 13 red and white stripes.

Easton was also the home of George Taylor, one of the 56 signers of the Declaration of Independence!

Today at Petrosino's, you will be able to see an old, but exact replica of the Easton Flag that flew on July 8th in Easton's Center Square while the Declaration of Independence was ready aloud! Our good friend Mark Bonstein brought this flag out to us from Easton when he visited last fall knowing that we would display it at Petrosino's on our Nation's 250th Birthday!

✅️Today we will be crafting another delicious specialty pizza;
"A Friend of Ours" ... Crafted on our Signature New York-Style crust, with our family recipe red sauce and topped with shredded mozzarella, canned mushrooms, Italian sausage and red onions. Why canned mushrooms? Because this topping combination really lends itself to an old school flavor profile that so many New York pizzerias still use. I used to love this combination as a kid, so why not offer one to our family of guests at Petrosino's! So if you ❤️ mushrooms, sausage and red onions, give "A Friend of Ours" a try tonight!

✅️Wing Wednesday! Come on in and grab some wings... these are some of the best wings anywhere!

Hey Folks! We had alot of fun at Petrosino's last week. Chef Joey Embardino made his way to Wisconsin once again and made some delicious specialties! It was not only great to see him again, but to see all of our family of guests give him a warm Wisconsin welcome! Here is a message from Chef Joey that he asked me to post thanking all of you!

To all of the customers who came out to Petrosino’s this past week, it was a pleasure to meet and share with you all some of mine and my son’s hand crafted specialties.
It was a joy to bring you some of our finest and best flavors from our east coast roots.
We certainly really enjoyed our time together at Petrosino’s.
