The Hodle

The Hodle Located in historic downtown New Freedom, PA. The Hodle as it is now known, was built in 1883 and was originally known as The Colonial Hotel and Tavern.

The building originally served as a hotel for the then thriving railroad industry and made New Freedom "the place to stay" in that time period. Although no longer a hotel, The Hodle continues to make New Freedom "the place to be." The building has had three owners over the years and was purchased by its current owner, Denis Bazuine, in 2000. The previous owner Norris Richard won the building from the original owner, J.A. Zeller in a poker game in the 1940's.

Have a long weekend? Want a Sunday funday? Come on over for brunch. 13$ a plate, we got bacon, sausage, scrapple, homefries, eggs fresh-cut fruit and toast. Bagels? we got em. Mimosas? We got em. Bloody Mary's, we got the best. Dana's smiling face and smart ass demeanor well yeah we got that too. Come get you some and don't be a Sunday bum start the day off right cause no one wants to spend the Sunday sober. 10am-1pm

Sundays suck because Sundays are before Mondays. But Sundays don't have to suck because there is brunch for $13 at The Hodle, and along with that are $5 Bloody Mary's and $1 mimosas. If that wasn't enough you get the wonder service of Dana guaranteed to make you feel special or bring you down a peg or two or possibly both. Come get you some and quit feeling sorry for yourself because you hate you job and you hate Mondays.
