Good morning everyone! As I’ve stated in earlier posts, we are going to stay open until the end of September this year! We will be closed this Sunday due to a prior commitment but I’m sure you all will be cool with that as a trade off for 3 more weeks. We are going to back up our opening today until 5 due to the heat in our building but we will be open! Potentially tomorrow as well but it depends on the heat. Our hours today will be 5-8 🌭🌭🌭🌭

One thing I hear on a rare occasion is our hot dogs are bit skinny. Let me explain why we use a “skinny” hot dog. Probably 75 to 80% or more of what we sell in total hot dogs are coneys (coney sauce on the dog). With that in mind, most top it with cheese, onions and other ingredients. We use a skinnier hot dog to accommodate and balance all these ingredients so that the hot dog doesn’t overpower all the other flavors. I believe it’s the right balance personally but I do agree that if you just get a foot long or short dog, it can look a bit skinny

Starting today and going forward, we will have a double option on all of our dogs and coneys! $1 for a short. $2 for a long. We will simply put two dogs on your bun and build it however you order it. Kind of a fun, unique way to offer you more without changing our dogs. We are open 4 to 8 today! 🌭🌭🌭🌭🌭🌭🌭🌭🌭🌭🌭🌭🌭🌭🌭🌭🌭🌭

Good evening everyone! I wanted to get on here and let you all what our plans are for the rest of our season. Generally we shut it down Labor Day weekend but as of now, we plan to go until the end of September! The plan from the beginning of this season was to go maybe another month to make up for our shorter schedule this year. For those of you that don’t know, i adjusted our schedule for health reasons and this dinner schedule was a compromise vs me closing it up altogether and selling it. I certainly never wanted to sell it and still dont. It’s went pretty well this year with no further set backs for me which is positive..

To more important things now. Do any of you remember our chili that we were selling out of the food trailer years ago in October? I don’t have full details yet but we plan to carry this in the restaurant in 3 weeks or so as well as take prepaid orders for pickup so you can freeze it and enjoy it whenever you want to this fall! This chili recipe was handed down to me by a previous owner and it was great! It mirrors our coney sauce somewhat but it is actual chili vs a sauce that we put on our coneys. I did try this chili on a hot dog just to see what it tasted like and I loved it! I like a bean chili on a hot dog personally but our coney sauce I find to be great as well! Stay tuned

I do have a prior commitment on Sunday Labor Day weekend so we will be closed that particular Sunday but I’m sure you all will allow me to as long as we stay open longer as we plan to 😉 Our hours that we have now won’t change drastically. Probably just 4 to 8 Wednesday through Sunday will be the only change vs the 8:30 on Friday and Saturday we do now. That change will happen once school starts. Some of our lower volume items will be phased out in the next few weeks simply because most of our stuff comes in cases and I wouldn’t be able to move a case fast enough.
