Chef Prasad was deeply honored to participate in the 6th Annual Anthony Bourdain Su***de Prevention Dinner, held October 12 at Good News Restaurant & Bar in Woodbury, CT.

“It was a privilege to cook alongside his fellow chefs and dear friends, Carlos Perez, Tyler Anderson, Renee Touponce, Adam Greenberg, David Standridge, and Xavier Santiago, once again, coming together to celebrate the culinary community while supporting a cause that touches so many lives.

The extraordinary evening featured a five-course dinner with drink pairings, cocktails, a raw bar, and live auctions, with 100% of proceeds benefiting the American Foundation for Su***de Prevention (AFSP) Connecticut Chapter.

Chef Prasad extends his heartfelt thanks to the organizers, participating chefs, and generous guests who made this meaningful evening possible.

A powerful reminder that food brings people together, and together, we can make a difference.

Chef Prasad welcomes Chef David DiStasi of Materia Ristorante in Bantam for a one-night-only Chef Collaboration, bringing the flavors, techniques, and traditions of Tuscany together with the vibrant spices and influences of Indian cuisine.

Chef David DiStasi of Materia Ristorante in Bantam is one of Connecticut’s most celebrated chefs. In 2026, he was named a James Beard Award semifinalist and advanced to finalist (nominee) for Best Chef: Northeast. He was also named the 2023 Connecticut Restaurant Association Chef of the Year and has earned acclaim for his refined approach to Tuscan cuisine.

Joining Chef David DiStasi and Chef Prasad for this special evening will be hospitality professional Christopher Hodson, named Server of the Year at the 2024 CRAZIES Awards and curator of 𝗖𝗛𝗥𝗜𝗦𝗧𝗢𝗣𝗛𝗘𝗥 𝗛𝗢𝗗𝗦𝗢𝗡 • 𝗖𝗧 𝗙𝗢𝗢𝗗, where he celebrates Connecticut’s dynamic restaurant and culinary scene.
