I want to utilize this Hill barbecue page to help support local businesses that I believe in. I think it’s important to spend our money with local people in each city rather than corporate America because I think we’re a little top heavy.

So my first food review is going to my buddy in Austin. Kyle Stallings at We had some of his food on our way back from some gigs in the Dallas area and it was top notch. Handmade food cooked with love and if you do have leftovers they’re also good those days as well. He has a lot more menu items, ton of options and if I lived down the street I’d be there everyday.

If you’re in Austin, look him up and tell him A.B. sent you.

I debated on posting this or not. It’s long but you guys are family to me at this point.
I’ve cooked many nights of BBQ in Lubbock Texas. I’ve cooked for people from all over the world. Australia, Germany, Hawaii. Many very large bands. BBQ saved my life. For a while. I know if this post happened to get pushed it would find those people from far away wherever they are now.
I grew up on hard times in Lubbock. Many of you don’t know this, but when I was young my dad had some health problems. We were an old school family so he was the bread winner of the house. His spine started deteriorating and one random day he was in massive amounts of pain and picked up by the ambulance. He stayed in a hospital bed in my room for a good while. I don’t know how long it really was since I was young, but it felt like a long time. (The rest of the story is in the photo slides)

Last year we rolled through Lubbock to play some Colorado shows and we stayed on top of this mountain in the middle of nowhere. We brought the beef of course and made this delicious pasta to keep us warm.
Next week I’ll be heading back up there to play MOTEL SOCO Pagosa Springs and Hidden Track then I’ll be making my way back through Lubbock.
Saturday August 1st at 12pm we’ll be serving BBQ for another round of our West Texas BBQ Pachanga. Preorders are open for those. Menu is posted. If you want to guarantee your order please DM us to place it ahead of time.
Until then. It’s spaghetti in the mountains.
