Not gonna lie, we feel bad when we see someone pull up on a Tuesday. 😂

We promise we're not hiding from y'all! Even Big Back needs a couple days to recover from all that chicken slinging!

We're closed today, but we'll be back tomorrow at 5 PM with all your favorites, extra sauce, and probably another crazy creation brewing in the kitchen.

Quick schedule update! We will also be closed this Thursday! We were invited to attend a New Braunfels Chamber of Commerce mixer, and we're excited for the opportunity to meet and connect with other local business owners!

We'll be back Friday at 5 PM!

In the meantime, Big Back Sweets & Treats is still accepting preorders, because apparently I don't know how to actually take a day off. 😂

Okay, first off, how cute is this little bakery stand?!

I finally got to check out Feral Crumb Co. and I'm so happy I found her!

As someone who previously owned a raccoon, the name alone had me interested. I mean, how could I not check out a place called Feral Crumb Co.? 😂

I was really hoping to snag some of her sourdough bread, but unfortunately I missed out this time. I did manage to grab some brownies though, and let me tell you, they did not disappoint!

As a baker myself, I have some pretty high standards when it comes to baked goods, and she absolutely nailed those brownies! I'm already excited to go back and try more of her goodies.

Between running our food trailer, working my full-time job, and keeping up with Big Back Sweets & Treats, I don't always have the time (or energy) to bake every little thing I'm craving. Sometimes I just want someone else to do the baking for once!

And that's one thing I love about finding other local bakers. Just because I bake doesn't mean I can't appreciate someone else's work. There's room for all of us, and I genuinely love seeing other small businesses doing their thing.

Her little setup is adorable, the brownies were delicious, and I'm definitely going back for that sourdough!

We've been so busy cooking, creating, and growing that we've forgotten to share some pretty special moments with y'all!

First things first… WE HIT 500 FOLLOWERS!!

We may be a little late celebrating, but we haven't forgotten what that means to us. When we opened Big Back Bourbon Chicken, we had no idea how much love and support this community would show us.

To celebrate reaching 500 followers, we gave away a Big Back T-shirt to one of our top customers who's been supporting us since opening day!

And speaking of customers… can we talk about our regulars for a second?!

Seeing familiar faces come back week after week, watching first-time customers turn into regulars, and hearing y'all recommend us to your friends and family is something we will NEVER take for granted. You're helping a small, family-owned business grow, and we appreciate every single one of you.

We've also been spreading a little Big Back love around New Braunfels!

We've had the opportunity to show some appreciation to the hardworking teams at:

These are the people working long hours, taking care of others, and keeping things running behind the scenes. Being able to show them a little love through our food is something we genuinely enjoy doing.

Big Back has always been about more than just serving bourbon chicken. We want to build something that feels like part of this community. A place where you recognize the faces, feel welcomed, laugh a little, and leave with a full belly.

We're still learning, still growing, still coming up with crazy new ideas in the kitchen, and occasionally forgetting to post our milestones along the way. But one thing we'll never forget is the people helping us get here.

At this point, someone might need to revoke Amber's kitchen privileges because she just keeps coming up with stuff.

Meet BERRY BOUJEE!

Our newest homemade cookie creation featuring chocolate chips and crunchy, chocolate-covered freeze-dried raspberries from Tru Fru!

She's sweet, she's a little fancy, and she's definitely got that Big Back attitude.

And just to clarify, this is NOT a collab with . This is just a small business owner with a wild imagination and absolutely no self-control when it comes to creating new desserts.

But Tru Fru, if you're watching... we wouldn't be opposed to a little repost. Just throwing that out into the universe.

We're testing these beauties TODAY, and some lucky customers might just get a sample! All I ask in return is your honest opinion. Should Berry Boujee make the official menu?

Because let's be real, I can think something tastes amazing all day long, but Y'ALL are the ones who get the final say!

Freshly made fried rice, saucy bourbon chicken, hand-rolled egg rolls, and plates loaded up just how we like 'em. We aren't here to serve tiny portions and leave you wondering where the rest of your dinner went!

Everything is made with love, a little chaos, and a whole lot of flavor.

We're open today from 5 PM to 9 PM, unless y'all decide to wipe us out early again!

I'm testing out a new cookie creation called Berry Boujee, and let's just say she's got a little attitude and a whole lot of flavor!

When we say Big Back Bourbon Chicken is FAMILY owned and operated, we mean the WHOLE family is getting put to work! 😂

We've got a couple of new faces joining the Big Back crew, so let's give a big welcome to Roman (our guy with the glasses!) and Blake!

These two are the owners' nephews, and they're just getting started learning the ropes around here. So when you see them at the window, make sure to show them some love and encouragement!

And can we take a second to give Skylin a HUGE round of applause?!

This girl has gone from learning the register herself to helping train the next generation of Big Back workers. Watching her step up, take responsibility, and teach these boys what she's learned makes my mama heart so dang proud.

Gosh, did I get lucky as a mom. ❤️

We're not some big corporation with a bunch of employees. We're a family building something together, teaching our kids the value of hard work, and hopefully making some pretty amazing memories along the way.

Sure, there's a little chaos, a lot of laughter, and probably some arguing over who's doing what. But that's family, right? 😂
