🇩🇪 WECKA IS COMING TO OKTOBERFEST! 🇩🇪

This Saturday, Brooks Creek Farm is bringing a little taste of the German countryside to Jefferson City’s 26th Annual Oktoberfest!

Wecka is a traditional German-style, lightly sweet bread with a rich family heritage behind it. Soft, tender, beautifully braided, and made from scratch — it’s one of those breads that can quickly become a staple at your table.

And it is incredibly versatile.

🍞 Make amazing French toast — one of our customers tried it and sent us the picture above!
🥪 Use it for sandwiches
🍓 Toast it with butter and your favorite jam or jelly
🍽️ Or simply slice it and serve it alongside a family dinner

Straight from the countryside of Germany to the Brooks Creek Farm kitchen, Wecka is a bread rooted in family heritage and meant to be shared around the table.

We’ll have a limited number of fresh loaves available Saturday, September 26, at Jefferson City’s Oktoberfest from 10 a.m.–6 p.m.

THE SECRET IS OUT! 👀🍪

Last week we told you we were taking one of our most-requested cookies and turning it into something completely new.

Well… we did.

You already love our Salted Double Chocolate Chip Cookie — so we took TWO of them and sandwiched them around a rich, homemade Brown Butter Vanilla Cream.

After 15 years with FedEx, today I officially close one chapter of my life and begin a new one — retirement!

FedEx has been a huge part of my life for many years, and I’m grateful for the people I’ve met, the friendships I’ve made, and everything those years have taught me. But I’m also incredibly excited about what comes next.

And a big part of what comes next is Brooks Creek Farm and 2215 Holdings LLC.

Until now, I’ve been building the bakery while still working my full-time job — squeezing baking, farmers markets, orders and events into whatever hours I could find. Retirement changes that.

The kitchen is officially OPEN for more!

I’ll now have the time to take on more special orders, weddings, corporate events, catered desserts, celebrations and larger events — while continuing to grow Brooks Creek Farm.

And that growth is also why 2215 Holdings LLC was created. Brooks Creek Farm will continue to be the bakery you know, but 2215 Holdings gives me the foundation to expand into new opportunities, products and ventures as they come along.

I don’t know exactly where all of this will lead — and that’s part of what makes this new chapter so exciting.

Whether you need a wedding cake, dessert table, pies, cookies, cinnamon rolls, breads, corporate gifts, or something completely different, reach out. If it can come from an oven, there’s a pretty good chance we can make it happen.

Thank you to everyone who has supported Brooks Creek Farm, ordered from me, stopped by the farmers market, recommended me to someone else, or simply encouraged me along the way.

I’m retired from FedEx — but I’m definitely not retiring from work. I’m just finally getting the opportunity to put my time into building something of my own.

❤️ THANK YOU for an incredible Saturday!

Even with Labor Day weekend and the extreme heat, you all showed up! I was completely SOLD OUT before 10:30 AM — I looked around and didn’t even have a crumb left!

I truly appreciate every single person who came out and supported Brooks Creek Farm.

Now for this week — PRE-ORDERS are STRONGLY encouraged!

Between my full-time job, events, and several upcoming commitments, I simply won’t be able to make unlimited quantities of everything.

Several people asked for items Saturday that I had already sold out of or didn’t have available. If it had been pre-ordered, it would have been waiting for you.

So if there’s something you know you want this week, please don’t wait until Saturday and hope I still have it. Get your order on my list early!
