Scuttlebutts Bar Located inside the VFW Post 5716 Scuttlebutts - The term scuttlebutt came from the nautical term for the water fountain (cask) on board ships.

At times, it became the focus of the congregation and a casual discussion area. Since sailors exchanged gossip when they gathered at the scuttlebutt for a drink of water, the word scuttlebutt became slang for gossip or rumors. So come and gather around our watering hole (bar) and talk, tell tales of adventure, stories of life, and share some wonderful laughs with friends. Bring your own friends or come and meet new ones.
