Brothers-in-law Armand “Ric” Riccardi and Attilio “Tillo” Raffa partnered up in 1956 to open Ma Raffa’s as one of their many ventures together and one of Tillo's many projects with family (Pic features Tillo & brother-in-law Stanley Cox).

The idea began with Nunziatta “Ma Raffa” and the spaghetti & meatballs she became known for serving to factory workers right from her family home in New Bedford.

Say hi to Debbie and Mike! They’ve been coming to Ma Raffa’s since 1973, when they had their first child.

They’ve since moved to New Hampshire, but whenever they’re back this way, they make a point to stop in for salad and thin crust pizza. That’s a Ma Raffa’s tradition spanning more than 50 years! 🥗🍕
