As owner of Dragon King's Daughter, Toki has spent more than 16 years building spaces where food, hospitality, and human connection come together. After moving from Osaka to Louisville, she set out to create a welcoming place where everyday Japanese food could be enjoyed casually and affordably—bringing people together across cultures, backgrounds, and life moments.
Her leadership centers on people. From developing staff strengths and mentoring the next generation in culinary and hospitality careers to creating a safe, inclusive dining experience for every guest, Toki leads with intention, humility, and heart. Her restaurants serve everyone—from everyday meals to milestone celebrations—always grounded in respect, warmth, and community.
Through hard work, positivity, and a belief that small, thoughtful actions can create meaningful impact, Toki has helped make Dragon King’s Daughter a beloved Louisville destination and a reflection of the city’s welcoming spirit.
