For a century, this ground has carried the game. The original clubhouse was simple, built with purpose. When we began designing The Silo Club, we didn’t want to replace that story. We wanted to carry it forward. Details inspired by what once stood here, reimagined for the next generation.

Long planned as part of the vision for The Silo Club, the short course will be an exciting addition to the club’s everyday experience. Designed by course architect Kevin Hargrave and set to begin construction this spring, the space will support short-game practice while also functioning as a flexible six-hole short course. Known as The Acreage, it’s a nod to our agricultural roots and another step forward in bringing the full vision of The Silo Club to life.

With the practice facility now finished, the course construction is complete, and grow-in is progressing nicely. Each day brings us one step closer to spring and the moment we’ve all been waiting for. Exciting times ahead at The Silo.

As grow-in continues at The Silo Club, No. 9 is really starting to shine. This long par four is a true finisher — demanding accuracy off the tee with its well-placed fairway bunkers. The green, now seeded alongside the putting complex, is coming in beautifully. Hitting into a 30,000 sq. ft. green complex is going to be something special.

No. 7 and No. 8 at The Silo Club both feature heavy bunkering, with multi-tiered waste areas that stretch across the landscape. These bold hazards create a striking visual and demand precise play, making back-to-back holes where one mistake can quickly change everything.

The closing hole uniquely ties into the fairways of No. 4 and No. 8. Precision off the tee is a must with heavy bunkering and bold mounding. A true test when the round is on the line.

The par 3, No. 6, is a God-given masterpiece. With landforms so striking that they needed almost no shaping, very little dirt was moved. Nature did the heavy lifting, we simply revealed it, now waiting to be played.

In 1926, this wooden silo was built on a Midwest farm — the same year the original course was founded. 100 years later, it’s found a new home here at The Silo Club and became an inspiration for the Club's new logo. Now standing atop a rise between the No. 1 and No. 4 fairways, it carries a century of history into the future. Here’s to the next hundred years of stories it will stand watch over.

No. 2 is wrapping up. Bunkers are filled with sand, bluegrass sod is laid along the fairway lines, and fescue sod is strategically being placed. Finally, the green and fairway are seeded. Fun to finally see it all come together.

Despite heavy rainfall, sod is going down around the No. 2 approach and surrounds, tying together contours and the natural fall of the land. One step closer to play, thanks to a crew that doesn’t miss a beat.
