Turn Key Successful Restaurant for sale in Downtown Nevada City! We are selling Bistro 221 AND, the owner of the building is selling the building. Only serious buyers for the restaurant should message me, please. Bistro 221 has been open since March 27, 2013. We have the most amazing LOCAL AND OUT OF TOWN REGULARS, in addition to semi regulars and great tourist traffic!!!

This is a positive for me and my family and a decision made by choice.

We have 5 employees, Liz, Lori, Patti, Aran and Hannah who have been with us FROM THE BEGINNING! 6 employees who worked for us for many years and still fill in when needed, Brook, David, Justin, Jonah, Kristin, and Bobby. Saige and Cole for the last 3+ years and my great dessert man, James. Thank you to my husband, Alan Aragon, and my mom and dad, for supporting and helping me live MY dream!

Thank you to all of our family and friends! It’s been an amazing journey!!

WARNING: COLD AND FAST RIVER FLOWS

Between April 3 and 8 the dam at Spaulding Reservoir is expected to begin spilling water which will significantly increase flows on the South Yuba River. Flows on the South Yuba River below Lake Spaulding at Langs Crossing are currently about 20 cubic feet per second (cfs). With Spaulding Dam expected to spill as soon as April 3-8, flow will increase to approximately 400 to 700 cfs.

Typical flows in this part of the river for this time of year range from about 10 to 325 cfs. Peak flows may be as high as 4,000 to 6,000 cfs and potentially higher if there is a significant rain-on-snow event or multi-day heatwave accelerating snowmelt. The South Yuba River flows go as high as 10,000 feet during winter storms.

KNOW THE RISKS

Prevention is the best way to save a person from drowning. By the time a person is struggling in the water, a rescue is extremely unlikely and places the rescuer at risk.

Sudden immersion in cold water can stimulate the “gasp reflex,” causing an involuntary inhalation of air or water. It can even trigger cardiac arrest, temporary paralysis, hypothermia and drowning. When faced with swift water, even the strongest swimmers can be easily overwhelmed.

Cold water entering the ear canal can cause vertigo and disorientation. This can confuse swimmers, potentially causing them to venture deeper into the water.

Cold water also reduces body heat 25 to 30 times faster than air does at the same temperature and causes impairment that can be fatal.
