Shaky Feelin' had the esteemed distinction of playing three of the most prominent slots Nevada City had to offer in 2024. Scott Free’s 60th bday at the Crazy Horse, Rosebud Ranch for Tyler’s bday (shown here) and New Year’s Eve at the Crazy Horse. Why? Because they are one of the most fun, dance-inducing, mind-expanding jambands on the scene. The So. Cal quartet return to the Crazy Horse this Saturday for two sets of funky, rocking explorations, also delving into reggae and bluegrass. If you love Phish, Grateful Dead, String Cheese Incident, Dogs in a Pile etc…this is your idea of a good time.

By now you now you should be well aware of Marcus Rezak He’s played the Crazy Horse three times in tribute projects deep-diving into the music of Phish and Frank Zappa (look up the CH YouTube page and you’ll find fresh uploads of “Tube” and “Muffin Man”). They have been nothing short of spectacular!

This Saturday, he goes back to the well with his flagship project, Shred Is Dead Check out this clip from just last week when they played the Guild Theater and Marcus had the tremendous honor of playing Jerry’s Alligator guitar. This is what you call seizing the moment!

Marcus and his knockout band will be bringing the Alligator energy to the Crazy Horse with two extended sets of Grateful Dead Magic. The lineup features some of the best in the biz - Anna Elva Cucciardo David Barsky (bass) and Eric Levy (keys)

Happy last day of summer. We are excited for the new season ahead full of opportunities for fun. Before we move forward, let’s take a look at some Band Beyond Description action from last Thursday. We reassembled a lineup we’ve done before because it was so damn good Thanks to Joe Marcinek Band jenrundbass and Samuel Phelps for bringing your tremendous talents to the party. In this clip, we feature an additional guest - Marc Stone from New Orleans. He took to BBD just like a fish to water. Always cool seeing Jonny Flores wailing on the harp. He surely had his Mojo working!

Keep watching for the second clip as we spotlight the fiery rhythmic duo of Gary Campus on drums and Jen Rund on bass. Long live the Grateful Dead!

Speaking of which….our final show of the month this Saturday features one of the best in the biz - Marcus Rezak - and his incredible band - Shred Is Dead Sparks will fly!

Had to borrow this clip from our pals Blü Egyptian featuring Kulcha Knox Dixon who will be tapping into the essence of roots reggae and dancehall this Friday night. Originally from Kingston, Jamaica, this legendary artist will be backed by the great Purity Attack band KVMR’s minister of Ital culture, Christopher Redlocks will be blessing us up with masterfully curated tracks.

This is Joe Marcinek of the Joe Marcinek Band He’s been one of our favorites here for many years now, having brought a slew of all-star bands to our stage and also played with another favorite, GrooveSession (both at the CH and Rosebud Ranch)
Tomorrow (Thursday) Joe will be here with Band Beyond Description. We have assembled the same exact lineup as the last time he joined BBD because it was so 🔥 🔥
That means Sam Phelps Samuel Phelps on keys and jenrundbass will be joining Jonny Flores , Gary and Tim for a night of GD adventures. The start time is back to 9:30 because of football season and it gives the musicians more time to get here when they are traveling from out of the area. It’s always worth it to stay up late with us!
