The day is coming to a close and I'm still trying to wrap my head around it. I will miss this place so much. We had some great times and some very challenging times in this location. Friends and family rallied behind us to overcome obstacles. So many hours were volunteered. So much time invested. (So many broken appliances and rounds of emptying of the coolers) In the end, it just wasn't meant to be. We made the best decision we could for our family. After all, this is what Mabel's is all about. I owe so much to those that worked so hard. Likewise, those that visited us once a week or twice a day, you are all soooo appreciated. Thank you for your friendship. I was so emotional, I couldn't get more photos. I keep telling myself it was meant to be a stepping stone. Yet, it feels like someone needs to pinch me to make it real. I will never forget our time in Nescopeck! Thank you all from the bottom of my heart.

Good morning everyone!
Today is the day. To be completely transparent, I'm a mess (so be prepared for tears if you're stopping in.)
On special today is our Messy Mabel.
If you don't know (Where have you been?)
It's a stack of deliciousness.
Hash brown patty, biscuit, 2 eggs, sausage gravy and cheese.
Please come see us and say "see you later."

I have been searching for the "right" words. I've decided there just aren't any. I'm going to lay my heart out to you all, like I always do when I feel strongly about something. The Mabel's family has decided that we will no longer be serving you in our Nescopeck location. Friday will be our last day. This decision was not easy. If you know me, you know I don't hide my emotions well. I've been struggling to interact because I'm brought to tears every time I think about leaving our little community. Please know, this is not due to a staffing issue. I have the best employees, family and friends, that have been so invested. They've worked hard! Sometimes, you just have to make a difficult call under the circumstances. We will always be grateful for Nescopeck welcoming us and the relationships we've formed. I pray you'll drive the extra ten minutes to see us at Mabel's Route 11. We will be bringing some of our nostalgia and photos along. We will still serve our simple, scratch-made dishes and desserts. We will miss Nescopeck and the "feel" that comes with that location.
Route 11 will be expanding hours again. Come see familiar faces and catch up with us. From the bottom of my heart, thank you. I love you guys!

Good evening everyone.
I just wanted to try to get the word out that we will be closed tomorrow in Nescopeck. The road construction is really impacting business. Please understand that it simply doesn't make sense to open. We will be open in Bloomsburg at our Route 11 location. Please consider visiting us there (7am-7pm) tomorrow. As always, thank you for your support and understanding.
