A Message to Team Bobo and Our Community
Hello Team Bobo,
It is with a heavy heart that we announce the winding down of Bobo's Tex Mex in its current form.
What began as a simple fundraiser under a tent to support my middle son's dream eventually became something far greater than we ever imagined. The original goal was to help him travel to Orlando, Florida where he competed against hundreds of dancers from across the United States. That experience led to him earning fourth place in the nation, and that journey ultimately helped lead him to where he is today in Los Angeles dancing in the pre professional program at the Tremaine School of Dance.
From the very beginning the encouragement from this community was overwhelming. Many of you supported the idea before it was even fully formed, and you stood beside us as it grew.
Like I always do, I dreamed big.
My two sons, Clayton and Copper, stepped right into the middle of this journey with me and grabbed the reins with both hands. Without their dedication, willingness, hard work, and yes sometimes blackened eyes and bloody noses, we would have never made it this far. Everything we built together was done with love and with the right heart.
The menu we created took me back to my restaurant days. Those early years taught me how to work hard, how to put my back into my work, and how to create food that brings joy to people every single day.
The food service industry is one of the toughest businesses there is. But at the end of the day it is also one of the most rewarding. There is something incredibly special about exchanging a meal for money when that meal creates an experience people remember.
Bobo's Tex Mex quickly became more than a food truck. It became a roaming restaurant. Many of you would walk up to the menu and stand there amazed at the choices. Sometimes it took a while to decide what you wanted because there were so many options. Some of you have tried nearly everything on the menu and we have been incredibly proud that we never missed a beat.
Your encouragement and feedback have meant more to us than you know.
So where do we go from here?
Seasons change and life moves forward.
The reality is that the complexity of the menu we created has outgrown the truck we operate in. The amount of preparation required to deliver the quality of food we serve is significant. While we have successfully made it work on a small scale for the past couple of years, sometimes operating four days a week with the boys, it has become increasingly difficult to sustain.
We no longer have the staffing to support the level of ex*****on required, and it would take months for someone to come up to speed and truly understand what happens inside that truck.
At this point it is simply not feasible.
So with a heavy heart and a tear in my eye, we are saying goodbye to Bobo's Tex Mex in the form you know today.
But we are not saying farewell forever.
The boys are moving in new directions and chasing their dreams. Copper in particular carries a vision to bring Bobo's Tex Mex back in a new way one day.
What we built together has been truly special. We built a community. We built loyal customers. We built relationships. I have prayed with people outside the truck. I have hugged people who needed encouragement. And so many of you have given that same love right back to us.
The greatest reward of this entire journey has been showing my boys what can happen when you pour your heart, passion, and work ethic into something. They will carry this experience with them for the rest of their lives.
So will there ever be another Bobo's Tex Mex?
Yes. We believe there will be.
The Neosho area is growing. We are already seeing larger national brands establishing themselves along the commercial corridors leading into the city. As Neosho continues to grow and investment increases, we believe the opportunity will come for Bobo's Tex Mex to return in a new form.
Our vision is a small micro kitchen concept with a focused menu, fast service, and a small seating area. A place where we can deliver the same high quality Tex Mex experience that so many of you have come to love.
That dream is very real and something we absolutely plan to pursue.
So I am pinning this post at the top of our page and extending an invitation.
If you believe in what we have created and want to be part of the future of Bobo's Tex Mex, we would love to hear from you.
We are actively looking for potential investors and partners who believe this concept can grow into something special for our community.

I have spent a lifetime building businesses, and I believe strongly in what this concept can become.
In the meantime we will still operate the truck a few more times before officially closing. And we will absolutely host one final celebration day.
When that day comes we hope you will all join us. We want it to be a festive event with seating, music, maybe even some live music, and a chance for us to properly thank the community that supported us.
Until then keep an eye on the page. We will still be popping up from time to time before that final day arrives.
To the people of Neosho and everyone who supported us along the way, thank you from the bottom of my heart. You embraced us, encouraged us, and made this journey unforgettable.
The future is bright.
With gratitude,
Bobo Bowman
