Downtown Creep & Crawl - Alcohol FAQ
• What is the Downtown Creep & Crawl?
Businesses on the Square are offering activities, sales, food, & drinks on special for Friday the 13th. There will be a Witch walk, children's drinks and treats at multiple businesses, and a digital costume contest using the Experience Neosho App.
Between 5pm and 10pm that day attendees over 21 years of age may purchase alcoholic beverages at participating establishments that can be consumed outside in a special alcohol zone during the event.
• Where can I purchase alcohol during the Downtown Creep & Crawl?
There are four establishments participating in alcohol sales for this event - Indian Springs Brewing, Eastside Social, Spring Street, & Sam's Cellar.
• Can I bring my own alcohol to the Downtown Creep & Crawl?
No outside alcohol is allowed on the Square during the event. Only beverages purchased at participating locations are allowed in the alcohol zone.
• Where is the alcohol zone?
The alcohol zone covers all four sides of the Square - outer sidewalks ONLY. No alcohol is allowed on any side streets, parking lots, or the courthouse lawn. Boundaries will be marked with signs. No alcohol is allowed beyond the boundary markers. See attached map for details.
• Can I take my drink into a local business after I've purchased it?
No. Once an alcoholic beverage leaves the establishment where it was purchased it cannot enter another business of any kind. Your cup may be allowed inside with you, but it must be empty. Some businesses will be offering hot chocolate and cider for all ages, and some will be offering wine/spirit tastings.
• What else do I need to know?
Each establishment will be checking ALL IDs during the Downtown Creep & Crawl, so make sure you have yours! After your ID has been checked, participating establishments will issue you a wristband which must be worn at all times during the event. No glassware or bottles may leave any establishment. Only plastic festival cups are allowed in the alcohol zone.
• I don't drink. What is there for me to to do?
Plenty! There are sidewalk sales, live music, a costume contest, hot chocolate stands, walkable treats, games, and prizes.
• The Downtown Creep & Crawl is a family friendly event. Any irresponsible behavior could prohibit this privilege in the future. Please drink responsibly and safely. Do not take alcohol past the boundary markers. The City of Neosho is not responsible for accidents.
The streets WILL NOT be closed for this event, so attendees must obey all traffic laws while crossing the streets.
