Enjoying our 5.0 Google rating while it lasts… because at some point we will make a mistake, and there is always that professional reviewer ready to chime in before ever speaking with a server or manager before going on line to criticize, many times anonomously. You know who you are. 😂

That said, we truly appreciate the overwhelming support and incredible reviews from the vast majority of our guests. They mean a great deal to our team and staff who work hard every single day to deliver a great experience. TEASE! 👀

We are obviously slightly biased, but we think this is going to be pretty cool.

We are not quite ready to launch yet as we are still sourcing the official passport booklet and adding tasting note pages for each individual location. We are a few weeks away, but the vision is coming together exactly how we hoped.

And honestly… we would like nothing more than to end up printing a whole slew of Black Diamond Passport shirts for those that complete the journey across all 9 locations. 🍻🥃

Nelsonville, we wanted to share a little history of the Black Diamond story through some recent press coverage. This adventure actually began in Shawnee, Ohio — a historic coal town over in Perry County.

Most people assume Black Diamond started with the Brewery & Distillery, but the true catalyst for where we are today was the Black Diamond Tavern. Long before acquiring the Brewery & Distillery facility in 2024, we were already working closely with the Hocking College teaching facility to source and develop our beer program.

What started as a historic redevelopment effort in small Appalachian communities ultimately evolved into the hospitality and beverage brand you see today. Preserving history, investing in communities, and creating destinations people can be proud of has always been the mission — and Nelsonville is no different.
