Feast in the Forest was Saturday and it felt like the most wonderful dream. Local food, prepared in the most beautiful location, and supporting one of my favorite places, surrounded by people and the community that I love so much. Slow Roasted Tomato Bruschetta with Root56 cherry tomatoes and Laurel Valley Cloverton Cheese on Avalanche Baguettes-Sliced Watermelon Radish with Chesterhill Corn and Shagbark Black Bean Salad-Marinated Chickpea and Cucumber Salad with Mason Jar Vinaigrette-Beer Braised Pork Shank seasoned with Crickhollow Farms Mushroom Salt, Glazed Root Veg, Wilted Blaney Family Farms Kale & Chard (not pictured-beer braised mushroom from Forest Fungi)-Flour & Thyme Chocolate torte with toasted marshmallow and graham cracker crumble.

Bounty on the Bricks 2026 is a wrap. Despite having to move inside, it was an awesome evening for an amazing cause. Many thanks to our local farmers and businesses that helped me bring the vision for this menu to life, as well as my team of all stars who collaborated to prep and plate this massive dinner. This menu is a celebration of family and Appalachia. From my husband’s favorite deviled eggs, to cucumber salad cups inspired by summers on Scott Ware’s porch, a salad inspired by my gran’s love for salted tomatoes, three-sisters based entrees to celebrate our indigenous roots, or a dessert that celebrates my incredible momma, this menu is very near and dear to my heart. Whether you supplied a space to prep, a lending hand, a class of interns, an ingredient, a prayer, or a post event hug…thank you for making my final Bounty (at least for a while) a wonderful one.

🌧️ BOUNTY ON THE BRICKS LOCATION UPDATE 🌧️

Bounty on the Bricks is still on for tomorrow — we’re just moving the celebration indoors!

Due to the possibility of rain and thunderstorms, the committee has decided to move the event to Market on State for the safety and comfort of our guests and volunteers.

📍 NEW LOCATION: the Market on State
Please enter through the main entrance under the Peddlers Junction sign.

🕡 Check-in begins at 6:30 PM

While the location may be changing, the reason we gather remains exactly the same. We can’t wait to share a wonderful evening of Appalachian-inspired food, community, and support for the nearly 70,000 Southeast Ohioans served by the SE Ohio Foodbank each year.

It was my absolute pleasure to provide food for some of the artists at this year’s Nelsonville Music Festival again this year. It is always and honor to feed folks like the incredible Mavis Staples, and I feel so blessed to be the resident Chef at Stuart's Opera House and a small part of this incredible festival. I promise that next year I will actually get some pictures of food!
