🎆 Fireworks Reminder from the Santa Rosa Sheriff’s Office 🎆

As we ring in the New Year, please remember that fireworks are only legal on specific dates under Florida Statute 791.08:
✔️ New Year’s Eve (December 31)
✔️ New Year’s Day (January 1)
✔️ Independence Day (July 4)

Consumer fireworks like sparklers, fountains, ground spinners, snakes, glow worms, and party poppers are allowed year-round.

🔥 Before You Light the Fuse, Remember:
• Fireworks are not toys — aim for the sky, not people or pets.
• Never use fireworks indoors.
• Keep a safe distance from crowds, buildings, and flammable items.
• Have water or a hose nearby in case of sparks or small fires.
• Be considerate of pets, neighbors, and others sensitive to loud noises.
• Never use fireworks while impaired.
• 🚫 Do not block roadways or streets while setting off fireworks.
