TOMORROW (6/28) IS YARD WASTE DAY. Place grass, leaves and other vegetation in compostable paper leaf bags and set at curb tonight for pick up by Public Works on Wednesday. No rocks, dirt, Japanese Knotweed, plastic bags or trash, please! Branches should be cut and bundled so that a single worker can pick them up safely. THANK YOU! The yard waste will be composted into garden soil, saving on Waterbury's trash bill. The next yard waste collection day will be on Wednesday July 19th. No need to call to schedule yard waste pick up....trucks will be circulating.
