That’s a wrap on all four New Student Orientations! 🦬💜

Over the last three weeks, we have loved getting to meet our newest Bisons and their families, share more about dining on campus, answer meal plan questions, and help everyone get a little more comfortable before the fall semester begins.

We also want to give a special shoutout to the university’s Student Life, Admissions, and Quest Team for all of their hard work in making each orientation smooth, welcoming, and full of Bison pride. We are grateful to be part of the team helping students feel at home before they even step into the fall semester.

As a quick reminder, our meal plan incentives are still available. Students who upgrade from Bison Herd to Bison Ultimate can choose between a Chick-fil-A sandwich punch card or a Starbucks drink punch card. Commuter students who purchase a commuter meal plan can receive $75 in Lipscomb Bucks.

We are so excited to welcome our new Bisons to the herd and we can’t wait to see everyone back here in August!

It’s our final New Student Orientation of the summer! 🎉

After weeks of NSOs, our team has become setup pros. What used to take hours now feels like a speed run. Tables up, food ready, smiles on, and we’re good to go!

Please join us in congratulating Styles Corder, our amazing Chick Fil A Supervisor at Lipscomb University Dining, for receiving the Dorer Regional THX Award for May!

The THX Award is a customer nominated recognition program that celebrates staff members who deliver excellent customer service and create meaningful guest experiences. Styles earned this recognition because our customers see what we see every day: his care, kindness, hard work, and commitment to going above and beyond.

This week, Styles was presented with his award by District Manager Scott Basil, General Manager Peter Fescoe, and Retail Manager Amy Huggins. He also received a personal virtual congratulations and thank you from Tom Dorer, SVP, NORAM OPS UNIV, for his outstanding service.

We are so proud of you, Styles! Thank you for all that you do for Lipscomb Dining and our campus community.

New Student Orientation is tomorrow, and Starbucks on campus will be here to keep students, families, and campus guests refreshed and caffeinated. ☕☀️

Stop by to try one of our summer drinks, from iced coffee favorites to cool refreshers made for this Tennessee heat. Plus, Starbucks will be open later until 6:00 PM for New Student Orientation, giving everyone a little extra time to grab a drink while exploring campus.

We can’t wait to welcome our new Bisons and their families. Summer is better with Starbucks in hand!

Your meal swipes can do more than you think 👀🍽️

With the Lipscomb Dining Meal Exchange Program, one swipe can get you one combo meal at select on campus favorites like Chick-fil-A, Freshens, and Creekstone Burger Co. It is a simple way to grab something quick, filling, and delicious between classes, meetings, and everything else college life throws your way.

A few things to remember:
Meal Exchanges are part of your weekly allowance, they are just for you, and they do not roll over week to week, so use them before you lose them.

Throwback Thursday to last year’s New Student Orientation!

We loved connecting with incoming students and their families, answering meal plan questions, sharing campus dining resources, and helping everyone get a taste of what Lipscomb Dining has to offer.

Parents and students, this is your sign to take advantage of our limited-time meal plan incentives. 🍽️

Students who upgrade from Bison Herd to Bison Ultimate can choose between 15 free Chick-fil-A sandwiches or 15 free grande Starbucks drinks.

Commuter students who purchase a commuter meal plan will receive $75 in Lipscomb Bucks, giving them even more flexibility and convenience while on campus.

Wondering if your student’s meal plan is worth the investment? We ran the numbers so you don’t have to.

Based on the Bison Ultimate meal plan, students receive 21 meals per week in the Bison Café, plus $200 Dining Dollars and 5 retail meal exchanges per week. When you look at the full semester price, that comes out to about $10.95 per swipe.

For comparison, the average fast food meal in Nashville runs about $11, and a sit-down restaurant can cost around $18 or more before the tip. With Bison Ultimate, your student gets consistent access to hot, balanced meals right here on campus, without having to swipe their debit card every time hunger taps them on the shoulder.
