Bao Down Handcrafted Local Chinese Street Food What is a Bao? Bao or Baozi is a steamed bun that can have many fillings whether savory or sweet.

The Bao originated in China more than 2000 years ago and made its way through South East Asia. They were especially popular because Bao could be made with readily available ingredients and are easy to transport. Bao Down is excited to be bringing traditional flavors and a few of our own to Nashville. We are excited to be serving grass fed all natural meat and poultry sourced here in Tennessee.
