Welp… this is a little backwards...
I have to CLOSE the shop tomorrow. And strangely enough, that might be one of the biggest blessings I’ve gotten to post about.
This past week at Rusty Sugar was record breaking—above and beyond anything I had imagined, planned for, or honestly felt prepared for. You all shopped me right into needing a minute to regroup, restock, hunt down some new goodies and figure out what in the world just happened.
So Rusty Sugar will be closed Tuesday and will REOPEN WEDNESDAY with things restocked, refreshed and some NEW goodies tucked in!
This weekend was just plain ol' good for the soul type FUN...
I saw friends I haven't seen in forever, old classmates, so many familiar local faces, and some of my favorite returning visitors. There is something incredibly special about someone coming back to Nashville and telling me, “We had to come back to your shop.”
And the locals… goodness. I've developed such a fun little bond with so many of you. You stop in, check on me, see what's new, make me laugh and continue supporting this weird little dream of mine.
Add in Nashville Nights, all the activity in the Antique Alley courtyard, and watching people wander through the Alley enjoying themselves…it was just one of those weekends that reminded me why I love doing this. I don't take any of it for granted.
There have been plenty of moments along the way when I've wondered whether this little shop would work. And now I'm temporarily closing because you bought too much stuff. God surely has a sense of humor. 😂
What an abundant, unexpected blessing.
Thank you for supporting Rusty Sugar. Thank you for coming back. Thank you for telling your friends. Thank you for wandering a little off the beaten path into Antique Alley and allowing me to keep waking up and doing something I genuinely love every day.
