Fall Salad — mixed greens, butternut squash, goat cheese, dried cranberries, roasted pecans + balsamic vinaigrette. GF

Curried Chicken Salad — cranberries + curried aioli. GF

Yogurt Parfait — housemade apple butter, vanilla Greek yogurt + cranberry pumpkin seed granola. GF

Lunch Box — turkey, cheese, hard-boiled egg, veggies + dark chocolate brownie. GF

Pumpkin Pie Chia Pudding — fall spices + roasted pecans. Contains nuts. GF

Fall Focaccia Sandwich — housemade sesame focaccia, chili crisp butternut squash, pumpkin seed pesto, herbed goat cheese, cranberry + arugula.

Street Corn Chicken Salad — fire-roasted corn, red pepper, avocado, red onion + chipotle mayo. GF

Egg Salad — red onion, fresh herbs, mayo + Dijon. GF

Turkey Caprese Melt — sliced turkey, mozzarella, roasted cherry tomato + pumpkin seed pesto.

Welcome back to Kilimbi.

This anaerobic natural coffee comes from Kilimbi Coffee Washing Station on the shores of Lake Kivu in Rwanda’s Nyamasheke District. The station works with more than 750 local farmers and focuses on careful sorting, clean fermentations, and slow, controlled drying on raised beds.

For this coffee, whole cherries picked during peak harvest are sealed in plastic tanks for 48 hours to create an oxygen free environment. After fermentation, the cherries are dried as natural coffees over several weeks, turned hourly by hand, and carefully monitored to ensure even drying and preserve complex flavors.

This is the third coffee we’ve featured from Kilimbi CWS, and it continues to be one of the most exciting coffees of the year. In the cup, you’ll find notes of cherry and pomegranate, along with the complexity of a fine w**e.

We’ve made the difficult decision to close our Midtown location, with our final day of service set for Sunday, September 6.

We have truly loved being part of the Midtown community and are incredibly grateful to Vanderbilt students, faculty, and staff, regular guests, and our team members who have supported this café.

Unfortunately, ongoing challenges with the building that are out of our control have made it difficult for us to give our guests the experience we strive to provide. After exploring every option, we’ve made the tough decision that this location isn’t sustainable long-term.

With that, we’re in our 17th year of business and we are so excited for the future. We’ve got some exceptional relationship coffees to release this fall and winter, a brand new food & drink menu, and plenty of places to work or relax at our 8th Ave and Charlotte Ave cafes. You can also continue to find 8th & Roast coffee throughout Vanderbilt’s campus through our longstanding partnership with the university, at our partner locations in the airport and Canopy by Hilton, through our partnership with the Tennessee Titans, with our amazing wholesale partners across the city and beyond, and our retail offerings online.
