Hi Everyone,
We hope everyone had a nice Holiday and New Year, and are staying safe during these times. We’ve received quite a few messages asking about reopening dates....
Ultimately, right now, we haven’t decided yet. It is not a matter of if, it is a matter of when. We are 100% reopening. Our renovations are essentially completed, less a few minor items.
The unfortunate reality is that we are in the middle of a pandemic. We were originally going to open in November, but then the Covid numbers started to increase. We then saw the potential of new local closure mandates. At this point, we still don’t know what might come down the pike as far as that goes.
Many of our peers in Nashua have had to randomly close for 10 or more days when one of their team members or customers has potentially exposed others. We see the comments on local groups all the time about this one or that one suddenly being closed. Its not good. And right now, it really isn’t the environment we want to have our big relaunch in.
Most of our renovations and rebranding surrounded a more intimate and comforting dining experience inside Cafe Valentino. Espresso machines, new plush booths, couches to sit and read by a fireplace, quasi-table service, places to sit and work on your computer, etc.
Obviously right now, we are unable to really offer those things to their full extent. To be honest, we didn’t spend all the time, effort, and money to only go half way with the reopening. We would rather wait until things normalize a bit more, so that we can truly reopen the way that we had imagined.
We are discussing potentially doing a limited take out menu and reopening at a limited take out only capacity, and it is entirely possible that we come on here and announce that some time in the near future. But right now, we are still weighing the timeline out. That is not our first option. Even to that, we could go through the effort, and then have to shut down randomly if someone contracts the virus. It is not ideal. We would rather have a full grand reopening, the way we envisioned it.
Hopefully with the roll out of the vaccine, we start seeing numbers come down, and can all hopefully get back to some semblance of normalcy.
So, TLDR; yes we are absolutely reopening. No we don’t know when yet. The reason we are still closed is the global pandemic hindering things. We might do limited take out prior to grand reopening. Still deciding. We will see you soon. Stay tuned. Stay safe everyone. Thanks!
