I have a few tea parties booked for the next few months. How exciting is that? The waitstaff I had in the tea room were college girls that have moved on. I have one fantastic women already signed on to help with the catering. I need one more to don a Downton Abby style server dress and join the fun. It’s a set menu so no taking orders. I am considering doing traveling tea parties. Meaning, clients provide the venue and the furniture and I will provide the china, tea, food, linens, silverware, centerpieces (flowers), music, wait staff, and Victorian style hats. I will also give a talk on one of various Victorian subjects and the opportunity to play a game, depending on the theme. Do you think there is a market for this?

Since closing the tea room in 2020 I’ve been receiving inquiries a few times a week. Some to make a reservation and some asking when I’m re-opening.
There is nothing I would like more than to reopen. Everything is in storage and I continue making 1870s gowns for guests when I eventually do.
Right now I’m working full time and generally enjoying life. I’m putting the funds together so I can start looking for a place where I can live and have a fully functioning kitchen and tea room. The prospect is very exciting but its going to take about a year before the process starts. Of course I’ll be letting you all know when that happens. If, in your travels, you happen upon an opportunity, please do share. Wishing all you tea lovers (and everyone who have yet to become one (except the other Suzzanne, who, although British, does not like tea (gasp!)))a very merry Christmas ❤️

I just want to let Tea Room enthusiasts know what is going on at my end. The tea room at Western Ave in Lowell is not just closed, it will not be there in the future either. I will likely begin looking for a new location once a vaccine for the pandemic is widely available to everyone. At this point I have no idea where it will be but it will not be in Lowell. As soon as I know where and when it will open, I will post it here. Enjoy a cuppa for me and stay safe and healthy.
