My brother.
We lost him 25 years ago.
We panicked, prayed, searched, lied to ourselves, reasoned with ourselves—sometimes all at the same time—and then searched some more. But just like that, he was gone.
Our pain is no different from anyone who loses someone they love to sickness, natural causes, an accident…whatever it may be. The difference is that our person died while the entire world watched.
History made. Period.
No, folks. It is not “normal” for a 29-year-old to go to work one morning and never return to his family, his fiancée, his sister, or his beloved friends.
Oh, the absolute ache of losing our boy.
Our family’s story in Narragansett began as summer people in the early 1980s. This kid boogie-boarded at the Town Beach, ran along Ocean Road, fished at the jetty, jumped off the rocks at Bonnet Point, ate at Turtle Soup and the Willows, played hoops on Boon Street and at Christofaro, and danced at our wedding at the Towers in 1999.

Please remember him—and all those who perished on that fateful day 25 years ago.
Look him up.
Peter Christopher Frank.
He was a pretty interesting human.
He was ours.
And, in a small way, he was a little bit yours, too.
