A Message from Nang's Chinese Restaurant
After many years of serving the Nappanee community, Nang and Thuy have decided it is time to retire.
Nang moved to the United States in 1984 and began working at the restaurant in the late 1980s when it was owned by Bounthanh. In 1990 he partnered with Chi-Am to open Nang’s Chinese Restaurant and eventually purchased the property in 1992. Over the years, Nang's Chinese Restaurant became a beloved local tradition, serving freshly prepared Chinese food to generations of families. From a full-service dining room to carryout-only service in recent years, the restaurant has always been dedicated to providing quality food and friendly service.
Throughout the years, Nang estimates he has employed more than 100 people. Many employees stayed for over a decade, and some families even had multiple generations work at the restaurant.
Nang and Thuy married in 1997 and raised their two daughters while building a life and business in Nappanee. They are deeply grateful for the support, friendships, and memories they have shared with customers, employees, and the community over the years.
As they begin this new chapter, Nang and Thuy look forward to spending more time relaxing and enjoying time with family.
The restaurant property will be listed for sale in the coming weeks.
